A quiet practice in cake.

"We bake the way our grandmothers did — slowly, in small batches, with butter that smells of the field."
Lumea Bakes began in a kitchen no larger than a kitchen table, with a single oven and a quiet conviction that something handmade still has a place. Today we work from a sunlit studio just outside the city, baking a small number of cakes each week for those who care about the slow craft of pastry.
Our flour is milled within fifty kilometres. Our butter is cultured. Our chocolate comes from two growers we know by name. Nothing leaves the studio that wasn't finished by hand the morning of dispatch.
Slow craft
Lamination over 72 hours, ganache rested overnight, cream whipped by hand.
Small batches
A limited number of cakes each week — never repeated, never rushed.
Honest provenance
Local flour, cultured butter, and single-origin chocolate from growers we know.
